About Erik

Erik has 10 years of experience in financial and rate consulting for water and wastewater utilities. He has extensive experience in developing financial models to assist utilities in long- and short-term capital project planning. This has allowed Erik to become well-versed in the analysis of financial documents to determine annual revenues and expenses, while developing a seasoned understanding of clients’ flow of funds and applicable policies and laws that govern those funds. His analysis experience includes the development of cost-of-service studies to generate equitable and defensible rates, capital planning, financial projections that incorporate optimal balance of cash and debt funding, rate setting, fee analysis, asset and system valuations, legal support, and financial capability analysis using EPA guidelines in developing schedules for Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) projects ranging from $20 million to $1.5 billion.
