About Maia

Maia has substantial local government finance, budget, human resources and management experience. She retired from Mecklenburg County, North Carolina where she was the administrative division director for the Land Use & Environmental Services Agency. She managed the preparation and execution of the Agency’s $100M+ annual operating budget; the collection of $50M+ in user fees; the human resources processes and the performance management requirements for the Agency. Previously, Maia served as the deputy town manager and finance director for the Town of Mooresville, North Carolina. While serving the Town, the water and wastewater utility experienced over 75% account growth and a doubling of the Town’s population.
