Raftelis Executive VP appointed for second term on the EPA’s Environmental Financial Advisory Board

December 04, 2013

Raftelis’ Executive Vice President, Rick Giardina, has been appointed for another two-year term as a representative member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Financial Advisory Board (EFAB). As described by the EPA, “The EFAB gives advice to EPA’s Administrator and Assistant Administrators on financing environmental protection activities and increasing investment in environmental infrastructure through the use of public and private resources. EFAB’s work focuses on lowering the cost of environmental protection, removing financial and programmatic barriers that raise costs, increasing public and private contribution in environmental facilities and services, and building state and local financial ability to meet environmental laws.” (http://www2.epa.gov/envirofinance/efab)

As a representative member, Rick will be asked to provide his independent judgment on a variety of environmental finance issues being addressed by the EFAB. This is Rick’s second two-year term on the EFAB.
