Abi joined Raftelis in late 2023 with 5+ years of experience in public utilities management, combined with 15+ years of prior program and project management for clients in the public, education, and nonprofit sectors. Having served a wide range of clients during her career, Abi is adept at learning and understanding a client’s needs and developing project goals and mileposts to ensure a successful outcome. Her experience covers budget processes, rate setting, policy review, crisis communication, board reporting, and strategic communication planning.
While at Sandy Public Utilities (UT), Abi managed the department’s finance, communication, and water conservation efforts. While wearing three hats, she gained an appreciation for simple explanations of challenging concepts, and the ongoing importance of storytelling for helping the public understand and appreciate the projects and efforts behind the rate increases.
She earned a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Science in Communication from the University of Utah. She also holds a B.A. in Literature from Dartmouth College.
