Makenna helps public agencies across the nation tell their stories. From crafting and managing digital media campaigns to developing and managing strategic communications plans and eye-catching print and digital materials, Makenna’s approach is grounded in storytelling. Before coming to Raftelis, she served as the Training and Marketing specialist for the Colorado Municipal League, leading the League’s marketing efforts and developing and facilitating trainings for elected officials across the state.
Makenna graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU) in 2019. She studied Journalism and Political Science. During her time at CU, she studied off campus in London, UK and Washington, DC, served as a Legislative Aide at the Colorado State Capitol, and interned at TheHill.com.
