The Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC or the Commission) owns, operates and maintains an extensive water system which enables PVWC to provide potable water to an equivalent population of over 750,000 in Northern New Jersey. Like many utilities, over the past 20 years the Commission purchased a variety of core business systems that are now outdated, ineffective, require manual work arounds, and approaching their end of life.
Raftelis led PVWC through an evaluation of their CMMS, supporting technologies, and current work and asset management practices. The Raftelis team managed the Commission’s selection process for the new CMMS vendor and system implementer (SI) including developing the RFP, facilitating scripted demonstrations, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations.
Raftelis continued to support PVWC through there implementation with helping build the asset hierarchy and best practices for managing assets. PVWC now has a functional CMMS system that supports their plant, distribution, and vehicle management program.
